More personal time
"Time and tide wait for no man."
Perth is one of the most liveable cities on the planet. With great weather, beaches, open spaces and fresh air, our lifestyle is amongst the best in the world. And with so many choices on how to take advantage of our wonderful city, our leisure time is precious.
But life can get busy.We often get caught up in our work and when we do have some breathing space, we don't always spend our time wisely. And yet time is the ultimate finite resource. How we spend it, has the greatest influence on the quality of our lives.Money is also a finite resource and it has a significant impact on how we spend our time. Perhaps this is why some people when they aren't earning money at work, they make their other job working on the family finances. But if time is the more valuable resource, is this a good way to spend it?
Managing the family finances without help can be difficult, not to mention potentially hazardous. It is too important to get wrong and yet some prefer to DIY without seeking strategic financial advice, often unwittingly taking significant risks to their financial health.
Making evidence-based investment decisions, taking only the risks that are worth taking (as proven by empirical analysis) and keeping up with the regular changes to superannuation, pension and tax laws is a big job. It takes time to do it well. Getting good professional help greatly reduces the risk of paying a very high price for a financial education.
And time marches on. Making mistakes can be costly from a financial perspective but it also consumes valuable time to recover lost ground.
We believe that working with a trusted financial adviser is the best investment decision you will ever make. Someone to consult with when making important decisions. Someone trusted that knows you, your family, your financial situation and your aspirations, that can keep you on-track. And have you ever noticed that when you describe your situation to someone else and they provide feedback, that you often gain new perspective? An educated and empathetic listener can greatly assist when you are considering your options and multiple alternatives are possible. Sounding out your thoughts and ideas can help you uncover the things that are most important to you in life and help you to make wise choices.
Time is the most valuable resource we all have.
You know that your finances are important and need attention.
That's our job, so it doesn't have to be yours.
Financial Life Planning is a holistic process
that puts your interests first and focuses
on increasing your sense of financial
well-being and life satisfaction.
It sounds like a strange thing to say that your financial adviser would be talking to you about how you feel, about those sorts of emotional choices and decisions about where you’re going to live and how happy you are in the place that you’re living, but they’re equally as interested in talking to us about that as they are about how good our super is going ..…” Fleur and Kym Wilkinson
“When we were separating, splitting assets and all that kind of stuff, Michael was much more than a financial adviser, he was a confidante, a marriage counsellor to a certain degree, but more importantly, a trusted friend.” Craig Buchanan
“If somebody asked me about financial planning and they were considering it, I would without hesitation recommend HPH” Philip and Kate Smith
“I think what great financial advice offers is peace of mind and particularly if you’re the sort of person like me who’d rather be out sailing than in reading about the latest investment strategy, so it’s great to know you’ve got someone who’s across all that stuff and working on your behalf. It takes the worry out of it for you.” Penny Walsh
“I think the last meeting that we had with the guys I actually cried because I was so happy with how everything was going and so appreciative of everything that they had set up for us.” Dr Fleur Davey
“We were initially very cautious, but they were terrific because they listened first and offered suggestions second. They asked lots and lots and lots of questions about our lifestyle and our ambitions for the future and all those sorts of things and then subsequently came back and said here’s a series of suggestions that we think might be of value to you and we appreciated that style.” Shaun and Lina Ridley
“If it wasn’t for HPH, I think I’d still be worried about money” Craig Buchanan
